And again, and again, and again.
You ever wish you were someone else? Well not an entirely different person, but just different I guess.

I wish I knew how to bite my tongue, I wish I knew when to shut up.
I wish I were less judgemental, I wish I were more understood.
I wish I had more faith and I wish people had more faith in me.
I wish I could change who I am, and change people's opinion about me.
I wish I could get a second chance, I wish I'm seen under a different light.
I wish I were worth fighting for, I wish my words wouldn't go misunderstood.
I wish I had the answers, I wish I knew the right words to say.
I wish I could go back in time and take back all the wrongs I did, I wish I'll never make a mistake again.
I wish I knew what to do, I wish it were easier.
I wish I were closer, I wish the good in me would prevail.
I wish you'd forgive me. I wish my dreams will come true.
I wish you still have faith in me. I wish you knew how sorry I am.
I wish I were with you.

Another great photo Sunday!
Just like last time I went on a Flickr Meet, this Sunday too was ROMAMOR's monthly outing!

There was a group of about 40 of us, it was great!
We went to visit the Valvisciolo Abbey, near Norba and the Ninfa Gardens, which dates back to the 1100's... I think! (I was too busy taking photographs to pay attention to the tour guide!!).

Not only did we have a great time, we were blessed with great weather and wonderful company. I was able to learn a lot from my fellow flickrites and I am pretty pleased with my work!

For those of you with a very analytical eye, you'll notice some change in photos.... this is because I started off the day shooting with my compact Canon IXUS 60 (also known in the USA as Canon PowerShot) but then my battery died, and although I had a spare battery with me, I later realized that the spare had not been charged after it's last use... so alas I was cameraless... but my dear friend Peng was kind enough to lend me his Canon EOS 20D, a wonderful DSLR!!! (Not to mention the great selection of lenses he owns.... needless to say, I was drooling!)

Be sure to check out my other work and come back in a few days, I'll be adding more.

From the rooftops
As I've mentioned before, I work for a very large Lottery company. It often sponsors various cultural events, one of these being the art exhibit of Marc Chagall's work.
As employees of this large company we often get to benefit from some perks, such as free tickets to art exhibits or free tickets to basketball games.
Tonight my friends and I went to see the guided tour and had a complimentary buffet on the roof terrace of the Vittoriano!

Not only was the guided tour wonderful (you get to see interesting works of art explained to you. You get to learn about all the reasoning and mental state of the artist, his life) but the wonderful buffet that followed was just exquisite! I felt like royalty. We had the place to ourselves. The view from the roof terrace was to die for and the waiters bringing silver platters back and forth were the added magical touch in such a beautiful surrounding!

Please take time to look at the other shots!!

My garden in the sky
As some of you may or may not know, I live in an apartment and therefore have a balcony instead of a back yard.
I have to say that we're actually rather fortunate to have a fairly wide balcony. We're able to fit a round garden table that seats four, and we have quite a few flowers and plants, in pots obviously.
My mom is quite the gardener. She's also had practice with real gardens, so she knows what she's doing!

(Un)fortunately, as mentioned previously, the apartment complex is being renovated. This is obviously good on one hand, but the down side is that all the work and scaffolding is making an awful mess. There's lots of cement droppings everywhere.... the pots have been moved... basically the balcony isn't very presentable.

In all this mess however, spring is still in full bloom. Nature is nevertheless taking its course, careless of what goes on in the surroundings. That's a comforting thought really, if you think about it!
